In Belozersk will host the festival "Man in the frame"

BELOZERSK. The 5th festival of social documentary films "Man in the Frame", dedicated to the life and work of the famous film director, actor and writer Vasily Shukshin, will be held in Belozersk from July 24 to 25. This city is not accidentally chosen as the venue for the festival. The fact is that one of the most famous Soviet paintings "Kalina Red", directed by Vasily Shukshin, was shot in the Belozersky Territory.

According to the festival organizers, the program includes film screenings, the literary marathon “Reading Shukshin”, a meeting of the participants of the film forum with the public of the Belozersky district, literary meetings and other interesting events. According to the list of guests of honor, the journalist Maria Taranchenko will take part in the festival’s activities, who will present to the public her new documentary “Biography of Wisdom”. Also, the Vologda film expert Tatyana Kanunova and other film figures, writers and art critics will also visit the film forum. In addition, traditionally held mass celebrations in the village of Sadovaya, where the shooting of the film "Kalina Red" took place.

Recall that the first festival of social documentary films "Man in the frame" was held in Belozersk in 2011. The festival displays documentary films that can convey to the viewer universal humanistic values. The event is organized by the Belozersky Regional Museum of Local Lore with additional support from the Belozersky District Administration. The preparatory work of the festival involves volunteers, authors of amateur documentaries, employees of cultural and social welfare institutions, entrepreneurs, as well as specialists in the field of cinema.
