MOSCOW. Theater named after Pushkin presents the first premiere performance this year - the comedy play The Family of Krause staged by Yevgeny Pisarev. The play was written by the famous domestic playwright Alexander Korovkin in the best traditions of sitcom. For the right to stage it, the head of the Pushkin Theater had to withstand a real battle.

Rehearsals have already begun in one of the theaters, without coordinating their initiative with the author of the play. However, the Pushkin Theater has long received the right to stage this work, and competitors had to give in. It was this play that Yevgeny Pisarev spoke of when he announced his plans for the upcoming premieres at the troupe’s pre-season gathering.

Khudruk said that one of the future performances of the new season is designed specifically for Vera Alentova, the leading actress of the theater. The People’s Artist of the Russian Federation will celebrate the anniversary next year. Rehearsals also ended at the press show on January 19, the first viewers appreciated the new work of Yevgeny Pisarev.

The official premiere took place the next day, January 20th. Sitcoms are always a success with the audience, and with the participation of such magnificent actresses, he is simply doomed to popularity. Two elderly sisters, whose roles were superbly played by Vera Alentova and Natalya Nikolaeva, have to fight for the right to live in a family home.

The events taking place in the play begin with the visit of a mayor’s employee who threatens the sisters with taking their house away. He treats himself to homemade liquor, bites it with a freshly baked pie - and suddenly dies. It is impossible to tell about everything that happens next, it should be seen…
