A masterpiece that has been worth waiting for so many years. The film of Jacques Rivett in Russia Automatic translate
MOSCOW. The Stanislavsky Electrical Theater hosted the first screenings of the movie Out 1: Don’t Touch Me by Jacques Rivett.
The legendary tape of one of the leaders of the French "New Wave" (Nouvelle Vague) Jacques Rivette (Jacques Rivette), who passed away last year, finally reached Russia in 46 years. The Stanislavsky Electrotheatre presented a gift to the cinephiles, on the small stage of which all parts of the 13-hour film were shown during the week. On the last day of the shows, the public was able to see its reduced version. The choice of location for the Russian premiere was not accidental.
After the appointment of Boris Yukhananov, a student of Vasiliev and Efros, as the artistic director of the theater, a large-scale reconstruction of the premises was carried out, the repertoire policy underwent dramatic changes. The new concept implied the creation of a space open for experiments, avant-garde productions, the embodiment of interesting ideas that have no analogues on the modern stage. Such projects also include multimedia performances: the opera “Sverlitsy”, the three-part “Blue Bird”, the eight-hour “Golden Donkey. An open space of work ”, the video novel“ The Crazy Prince ”.
It was hard to come up with the best platform for exploring the large-scale film project Out 1: Noli me tangere. References to the Balzac story about conspiracies and the mysterious “Group of Thirteen”, which did not lead to the logical ending of the rehearsal of Aeschylus’s plays, Paris, which survived the “Red May” of 1968, characters mirroring each other, slipping away, and then developing into an understandable puzzle. And the inability to look away, switch, miss something in the fabric of large-scale narration. The result was a masterpiece that was worth the wait for so many years.
