"Tea drinking in Mytishchi" - the seventh International festival of puppet theaters

MITCHES. For the fifth time, an international festival has opened in Mytishchi near Moscow, bringing together puppet theater artists. At the opening of the festival, called "Tea Party in Mytishchi", not only its participants were present, this time coming from eight countries. Spectators who eagerly awaited the premiere of the performance of the “Memorial Prayer” came to the square, located in front of the Puppet Theater “Flint”.

With this performance, the artists of the Flint Theater opened the festival of puppet theaters, during which the audience will see 25 performances. Typically, puppet theaters are considered the venue for staging performances for children. However, in most puppet theaters there are many performances designed specifically for adult viewers.

So the owners of the festival, the Puppet Theater “Flint”, presented their work with a performance based on the famous play by Gorin, telling about the fortitude of people who can overcome any hardships of their lives. In the events taking place on the stage, puppets and live actors participate on equal terms. Performances for the adult audience were also brought by artists from Grodno, Orenburg, Ulyanovsk and other cities.

The opening of the festival turned into a real holiday. The building of the Flint Theater was decorated with flags of the countries whose representatives came to show their creativity. The opening ceremony of the festival was accompanied by a performance by drummers. Artists on huge stilts showed their unique art. Then the participants of the festival, to the sounds of fanfare, entered the theater building.

Viktor Azarov, the head of the Mytishchi district, greeted the participants of the Tea Party in Mytishchi. He wished them inspiration and success, and the audience - receiving vivid impressions. Meetings with puppet theater artists will continue until September 20.
