Museum of the History of Navigation opens in Tallinn Automatic translate
In Tallinn, the branch of the Maritime Museum - Lennusadam, is preparing to open. Here, the sailing history of the Baltic states of the times of the Russian Empire and the USSR will be presented to visitors. A person who dreams about the sea or about scarlet sails will definitely like this exhibition!
At the beginning of the 20th century, gigantic hangars were built in Tallinn, designed for aircraft parking, and they will house a significant part of the museum’s exposition. With the help of new technologies, images of the water world will be projected onto the walls of hangars, which will create the illusion of being under water. Inside you can see boats and yachts, a medieval sailing ship, an aquarium, a cinema hall, where “sea” films, a Lembit submarine, seaplanes and much more will be shown.
Everyone will have the opportunity to visit the exhibition vessels, which are located on an open vast area, as well as sailing boats and yachts in the nearby harbor. Visitors will be able to relax in a cafe near the museum, and very young visitors will gladly continue their sea voyage in the play area.
The opening of the Lennusadam museum complex will take place on May 12, 2012, the ticket price for adults will be 10 euros, and for seniors and students - 5 euros.
Lennusadam provides a unique service: having bought the so-called “electronic ticket”, those who wish can get detailed information about the exhibits presented in the museum to their email address.
