Hundreds of William Blake etchings found in the library of the University of Manchester Automatic translate
In the John Rylands Library at the University of Manchester, researchers have discovered a real treasure, consisting of the works of the poet and artist William Blake (William Blake).
After two years of work, students, under the supervision of art expert Blake, art historian Colin Trodd, found about 350 engraved plates created by Blake. besides this, a collection of color illustrations was discovered for the book Young’s Nights Thoughts, which, according to researchers, was specially hidden among millions of volumes of the library.
Many of the exhibits found will be presented at the exhibition next month. The versatile work of William Blake, who was born in 1757 and died in 1827, was largely underestimated during the author’s lifetime. However, as often happens, after his death, Blake was considered one of the most important poets and artists of the Romantic era in England.
