We will discuss the crisis of identity, unsolvable moral dilemmas, the question of the primacy of the machine or human worlds, reason or technology, considering both blockbusters from The Matrix to Blade Runner 2049 and the author’s cinema from Shane Carrut’s films to Stephen Soderberg’s films.
