A photo exhibition on the achievements of athletes of the Olympic and Paralympic Games has opened within the walls of the Public Chamber of Russia

Recently, the public has been haunted by news about the Olympics. The Russians are worried about the fate of the team, as well as the removal of the Paralympic from participating in competitions. In support of our team at the Rio Olympics, the Public Chamber of the Russian Federation, together with the TASS news agency, organized a photo exhibition.

The guests were presented with pictures showing the achievements of athletes, champions of the USSR and Russia. The main goal of the exhibition is to draw public attention to the scandalous events at the Olympics and once again remind everyone of the merits and victories of our great athletes.

The First Deputy Secretary of the RF OP Vyacheslav Bocharov inaugurated the exhibition, greeted the guests and shared facts from the history of the Olympic movement. He emphasized once again: “Sport is peace and justice. Our athletes have proven and still continue to prove to everyone that Russia is a great country, and even after half the national team has been removed from the Games, the team continues to adequately represent their country, winning the highest awards. ”

Also, our athletes were supported by the champion of the Olympic Games of 2008 in high jump Andrei Silnov and the Olympic champion of 2008 in rhythmic gymnastics Tatyana Gorbunova. They told the guests how hard the athletes are preparing and waiting for the Olympics and what emotions the champions feel when they climb the podium to the sounds of the national anthem, holding the flag of their country.

Particular attention was paid to the issue of the Paralympic team. More recently, it became known: the head of the International Paralympic Committee said that the Russian team in full force will not play at the 2016 Paralympic Games in Rio de Janeiro.

Young athletes and the football team from Chertanovo came to wish good luck to our Olympic and Paralympic teams. Together with all the guests, the young athletes remembered the names of the Olympians and wished them not to give up and win at all costs.
