The project is created as the first open youth enamel festival, providing an opportunity for young and novice artists to try their hand under the guidance of recognized masters in this ancient, constantly developing elite art form. A distinctive feature of the project is the participation of famous artists representing their schools and students.
This classic principle allows us to show the continuity of generations and the diversity of enamel schools.
A striking example is the school of academician Nikolai Vdovkin. Many enamelers gladly adopted his experience at international symposia, and now students of creative workshops of the Russian Academy of Arts continue their studies under his guidance.
The Rostov school, led by the Honored Artist of the Russian Federation, Professor George Likhovid, gained considerable fame. A large and interesting section of the exhibition is presented by his students.
A special place is occupied by the school of the St. Petersburg State Art and Industry Academy named after A. L. Stieglitz, which is shown by famous artists and teachers: academician Alexey Talashchuk, professor Svetlana Ponomarenko, associate professors Larisa Solomnikova and Sergey Krylov.
Recently, the Moscow enamel school, presented by the Moscow State Art and Industry Academy named after S. G. Stroganova, is becoming increasingly important and active. Its leaders are Professor Anastasia Agafonova and Associate Professor Evgeniy Matiko revive enamel traditions, bring new ideas and technologies to enamel technique. Their students have achieved a high level of professional excellence and artistic excellence.
The Moscow region is also represented by the work of the Abramtsevo and Kalinin colleges of applied arts that have established traditions.
For the first time participating: the Irkutsk school of Sergei Andreiko, the Yaroslavl school of Mikhail Beketov, the Kaluga school of Lyudmila Zaichikova.
The works of independent authors from various regions are also presented: Azamat and Gulnaz Gilyazetdinov from Ufa, Rima Kharatyan from Volgograd, Natalya Sekacheva from Perm and other wonderful young enamels.
About 90 people from 8 regions take part in the project, and this quite fully shows the state of contemporary art of young enamels in Russia.
