Tactile models will be installed in the Pokrovsky Cathedral, which will allow blind and visually impaired people to see the world famous architectural monument.

On February 11 at 12:00, within the framework of the celebration of the Birthday of the Historical Museum and the 460th anniversary of the Intercession Cathedral (St. Basil’s Cathedral), with the support of the "Special Look" program of the Alisher Usmanov Charitable Foundation "Art, Science and Sport", the presentation of the "Intercession Cathedral" project will take place : territory of availability ". The first metal tactile model for blind people in the center of Moscow will be placed on the territory of the Temple. A collapsible plastic tactile model will appear inside the building. The project will allow visually impaired and visually impaired tourists and residents of the capital to enjoy the architectural wealth of the building and study it in every detail.

The exposition of the Historical Museum contains tactile models of key exhibits, and for the first time in the region, a tactile exposition is placed in the branch of the Historical Museum in Tula. Installation of tactile models of the Intercession Cathedral fully emphasizes the high status of the museum - a UNESCO monument, according to which it should be as accessible and open as possible for everyone. Visitors who are blind and partially sighted will be able to view large-scale tactile models on their own or as part of an excursion group. The street model will be an interesting object for all visitors, young and old. It is complemented by the model of the first Moscow monument - the monument to Minin and Pozharsky.

The model located in the exposition of the Intercession Cathedral is partially collapsible, which will allow visitors, accompanied by a guide, to get acquainted with the internal structure of the temple. It is equipped with an audio system: the tiflo commentary contains historical information and helps to present the complex architectural composition of the temple during a tactile examination.
