The new season of the festival "Fridays in Pushkin"

In October, the Pushkin Museum im. A. S. Pushkin will open the new season of the festival "Fridays in Pushkin". This month’s program will be thematically linked to an exposition dedicated to the collections of Mikhail and Ivan Morozov. In the series of conversations “How to watch the exhibition “Brother Ivan. Collections of Mikhail and Ivan Morozov”, its curators will talk about the history of the project and share tips on how to see and understand more when visiting on your own. Four Fridays - four curators, four different routes. So, on October 7, there will be a conversation with Anna Poznanskaya, Deputy Head of the Department of Art in Europe and America in the 19th-20th centuries. The meeting with Alexandra Danilova, Head of the Department of European and American Art of the XIX-XX centuries, will take place on October 14. Natalya Kortunova, Curator of Sculpture at the Department of 19th and 20th Century European and American Art, will share her advice on October 21, and on October 28, Alexey Petukhov, Senior Researcher at the Department of 19th and 20th Century European and American Art, will talk about his vision of the exhibition.

As part of the festival, there will traditionally be talks about art and tours of the museum’s permanent exposition and temporary exhibitions.

A number of excursions will be held in Russian sign language.

The festival also includes a large concert program. Piano and chamber music evenings will be held in the Italian courtyard of the museum, where both famous musicians and rising stars will perform, classical and modern music will be performed. A number of concerts have been prepared in cooperation with the permanent partner of the festival, the Moscow State P. I. Tchaikovsky Conservatory.

In October, listeners will enjoy a series of concerts “Music for Ivan Morozov”, which will feature works by French and Russian composers of the late 19th and early 20th centuries; one of the evenings in November will be dedicated to the memory of Irina Alexandrovna Antonova, and three December concerts will make up the mini-cycle "Instrument-orchestra (masterpieces of symphonic music arranged for accordion)".

Festival events will be held on Fridays in the Main Building of the Museum and the Gallery of Art from Europe and America of the XIX-XX centuries.
