free lectures and excursions in the pavilion "Worker and Collective Farm Girl" at VDNKh

On December 8, a cycle of four free lectures entitled “Beloved of the Great Artists” starts as part of the Winter Education Program of VDNH. On December 8 and 22, after the meeting, students will have free guided tours of the exhibition “Collection of the Ulyanovsk Art Museum: Polenov, Plast, Picasso and not only” in the pavilion “Worker and Collective Farm Girl”. Guests will have a unique opportunity not only to listen to the love stories of world famous masters, but also to see their work live.

On December 8, at 13:00, a cycle of free lectures of the Winter Educational Program of VDNH “Beloved of Great Artists” will begin, where you can trace the influence of personal life of eminent masters on their work.

First meeting “A love story in paintings. Three loves of Vasily Polenov "will be dedicated to the outstanding Russian artist. Participants learn about the first love and the wife of Polenov, about the woman who broke his heart, and about the second wife of the painter, whose marriage lasted 45 years. Immediately upon completion of the story, in the lecture hall of the pavilion “Worker and Collective Farm Girl”, a guide will be waiting for guests to show the exhibition “Collection of the Ulyanovsk Art Museum: Polenov, Plastov, Picasso and not only”. Everyone will enjoy the works of fine and decorative art created from the end of the 18th century to the 70s of the 20th century and, of course, will see Vasily Polenov’s picture “The Pond in Vela”. December 22 will be the second lecture "Pablo Picasso and his beloved." Listeners will be told about the love experiences of Pablo Picasso: according to the testimonies of his contemporaries, he possessed a striking appeal for women. After the meeting at 14:30, guests can take part in a free tour of the exhibition "Collection of the Ulyanovsk Art Museum: Polenov, Plast, Picasso and not only", where they will also be shown a collection of Pablo Picasso ceramics: panels, vases, decorative plates 1950 – 1970s. January 26, you can take part in the lecture “Beloved Henri Matisse”. It will be about three women, including our compatriot, who influenced the life and work of the leader of Fauvism.

On February 9, at the Salvador Dali and Gala lecture, paintings by one of the most famous representatives of surrealism tell the story of his love with a Russian wife, who was an inexhaustible source of inspiration for Dali.

All four lectures from the Beloved of Great Artists series will be delivered by Olga Savich, art dealer, founder of the ICONIC Art Gallery in London. She is engaged in the formation of art collections, marketing of exhibition projects in the field of art, promoting galleries and artists, conducting art performances and exhibitions.
