The exhibition "The Gift of Fire" in the exhibition halls of the Moscow State Art and Industry Academy named after S.G. Stroganova

November 12 in the exhibition halls of the Moscow State Art and Industry Academy named after SG Stroganova opened an exhibition of works by graduates and students of the department "Art Ceramics" of the Krasnoyarsk State Art Institute. This is not the first exhibition of a Siberian university within the walls of the academy - in the past years the exhibitions of the Design department and the Graphics department have already taken place, but the ceramic exhibition is very special, anniversary, dedicated to the 35th anniversary of the department.

The principal task was to demonstrate the achievements of young Siberian ceramists over the past ten years, the diversity and diversity of creative searches. Therefore, the chamber format of the exhibition is extremely diverse and saturated. About fifty works of several creative directions will be presented to the attention of the audience: art objects and decorative compositions, small plastic, which occupies a significant place in the creative range of graduates of the department - ceramic layers, chess sets, animal sculpture, and, finally, voluminous monumental compositions for the interior and landscape mainly in chamotte. Perhaps this variety of ceramic products is the most “Siberian” phenomenon in Krasnoyarsk ceramics, the founder of which was A.Ya. Migas, head of the creative workshop of monumental and decorative ceramics. In addition to the actual ceramic works, student term papers on painting and drawing will be demonstrated.

Krasnoyarsk ceramics is widely known in the contemporary arts and crafts of Russia. At all regional, All-Russian and international exhibitions, compositions of Krasnoyarsk ceramists invariably have a high level of professionalism, originality, and with all the individuality of each master, they have a certain commonality - plastic expressiveness with restraint in color, interest in archaic motifs.

The exhibition reveals the spirit of young Krasnoyarsk ceramics. The prospects of the department of artistic ceramics of the Krasnoyarsk State Art Institute are significant and diverse. The team of teachers, headed by the head of the department, I.G.Okrukh, is full of strength, desire to work, to prepare for the region of Siberia and for Russia as a whole new talented artists of decorative and applied art.
