Exhibition of Natalia Lopusova-Tomskaya "Illusory life of paper"

The exhibition features more than 50 dolls and 20 graphic works of the author. For the first time, so many works by Natalia can be seen in a single exhibition. All dolls are provided from private collections, which gives the viewer a unique chance to see the works of the author, usually inaccessible to the general public.

Natalia Lopusova-Tomskaya is one of the most famous and sought-after Russian puppeteers, a member of the Creative Union of Artists of Russia, the Association of Artists of Puppeteers of the Moscow Union of Artists. Touching fairies, graceful princesses, clownesses, elves, wizards are Natalia’s favorite images.

Work in the Puppet Theater. S.V. Obraztsova and study at the Textile University. A.N. Kosygin had a great influence on the formation of the style of works by Natalia Lopusova-Tomskaya - she began with large, so-called "theatrical" dolls, now she creates art dolls from papier-mâché and porcelain. The artist pays special attention to working with fabrics, she combines materials of different texture, as if flowing into each other. The impression of a luxurious, sophisticated robe that emphasizes the sophistication of the doll’s body makes it a true work of art. For the first time having seen the dolls of this master, it is impossible not to be imbued with their charm, not to answer gentle and touching smiles.
