Exhibition of Vladimir Kireev "Liturgy of the Faithful"

On October 6, 2017 at 16.00 in the Kaluga Museum of Fine Arts (Lenin St. 103, blue hall) will be the official opening of the first solo exhibition of the graduate of the Russian Academy of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture Ilya Glazunov Vladimir Kireev "Liturgy of the Faithful."

The exhibition will feature paintings devoted not so much to certain historical events as to personal manifestations of fortitude for the glory of the Fatherland and the people. The fates of our ancestors and our fates are links of one chain mail. The departed, the living and the coming, we all, toilers and warriors, are present at the endless liturgy of the faithful. And this is our truth. And in this truth is our strength. Part of the works will be presented to the audience for the first time.

Vladimir Kireev is a realist artist, but his realism lies not just in the photographic accuracy of the transmission of objects, but in the deepest penetration into their inner essence, making the artist’s work metaphorical, full of hidden codes and meanings.

All the work of Vladimir Kireev is permeated with love for Russia, for its history. A special place in the work of Vladimir is occupied by religious and philosophical works. This is a kind of parable, reflections in color. The paintings “Above the Fuss”, “Above the World”, “To the Other Side” are imbued with a prayer mood… The painting “Mirror”, which was noted by the Patriarch, can be called a true masterpiece, the Word of a true master.

Vladimir Kireev in 2011 graduated from the faculty of historical and religious painting of the Russian Academy of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture Ilya Glazunov. He is a member of the Union of Artists of Russia, a member of the International Association of Fine Arts AIAI UNESCO, the winner of the IV All-Russian competition of art works “From Ancient Russia to New Russia”, Moscow, Central Exhibition Hall “Manege”, 2009.

He also participated in the project “Unconquered. Russian Way ”at the New Jerusalem Museum and Exhibition Complex (with the support of the Moscow Region Government).

The exhibition will run until November 12, at the address: st. Lenin, 103.
