The retrospective exhibition of the St. Petersburg artist Armen Zakharyan includes unique author’s works, including a three-dimensional picture, painting and graphics created for the period 1988-2017. In the center of the exposition is a surreal portrait of Mona Lisa, written from bookbinding human figures.

Many graphic and pictorial works were created over the years: so much labor has been invested in them. On the canvases of Zakharyan, every centimeter of the artistic space is filled with carved symbols and figures that have a special purpose and meaning, ultimately forming powerful and integral symbolic images. All this strikes with the quality of execution, and the indefatigable imagination of the author.
