Exhibition of paintings by Lev Pavlovich Ryzhov "Art is life. Art is knowledge"

February 3, 2017 at 16-00 in the Kaluga Museum of Fine Arts (104 Lenin St., south wing) will open the personal exhibition of Lev Pavlovich Ryzhov’s painting “Art is life. Art is knowledge ”

Lev Pavlovich Ryzhov - painter, member of the Kaluga branch of the Union of Artists of Russia since 2001.

Born July 12, 1938 in the city of Kaluga.

1964 - began to paint. Got the first knowledge of painting in art studios under the guidance of Honored Artist of Russia A. I. Kotelnikov

Since 1965 - a participant in All-Russian and All-Union exhibitions of amateur art.

Since 1984 - participant of city and regional exhibitions.

2004 - All-Russian art exhibition "Russia X" (Central House of Artists, Moscow).

2001, 2005 - laureate of the prize named after A. Kulikova, nomination "Painting".

Personal exhibitions were held in Kaluga in 1997 and 2013, the latter being dedicated to the 75th anniversary of the artist.

The picturesque art of Lev Pavlovich is extraordinary. The artist works in a certain manner. For him, color and tone are indissoluble, which is extremely important for the painter. Almost all the work is sustained in a single key. The picturesque manner of Lev Pavlovich is unique in its originality. On his canvases, the artist creates a special, unlike anything world. These are not just pictures. They have a huge emotional charge. When so much energy is invested in the work, it is certainly transmitted to the audience.

The exhibition will run until February 26th.

Museum working hours: daily from 10-00 to 18-00, Saturday from 11-00 to 19-00, Monday is a day off. The last Friday of the month is a sanitary day.
