Ryazan region receives masters of etching from Vladimir

House-Museum I.P. Pozhalostina, a famous master who worked in the genre of classical engraving, located 25 kilometers from Ryazan, in the village of Solotcha, invites you to visit the etching exhibition. The exposition of the exhibition was made by the work of Vladimir masters of graphic art, made in the tradition of realistic etching. With this exhibition, the house museum continues its project aimed at increasing the popularity of engravings - not only classical, but also modern.

Art historians have long recognized that Vladimir painting has its own characteristics, and at the end of the last century they started talking about the "Vladimir graphic art", highlighting the brightness and originality of the Vladimir masters of graphic art. Vladimir graphs are characterized by a desire to discover their poetic content in everyday subjects.

Each of the three Vladimir artists whose works made up the exposition of the exhibition belong to the middle generation of etching masters. Each of them has the title of Honored Artist of Russia. All masters have much in common in technology, in their views on art in general, but it is not difficult to see the unique character of each master’s handwriting.

Yuri Tkachev in his works remains true to his favorite topics - cozy corners of old Vladimir and village landscapes, shrouded in peace and quiet. Tkachev’s work is the motives of Russian nature.

Mikhail Kocheshkov also presents landscapes at the exhibition, but among his works there are still lifes that draw attention not only with the technique of execution, but also with the originality of the composition.

Vladimir Nilov is so accurate in the details of the images on his etchings that this achieves the unique effect of visible space.

The exhibition, available to visitors until November 1, was an event for the life of art in Ryazan.
