Anatoly Ivanovich Kotov received his professional education at the art school of Krasnodar. Then he worked as a teacher for several years, and since 1975, his whole life has been devoted to painting. Art lovers could see his works at forty personal exhibitions held during the life of the artist.

To date, the collection of the Museum of Fine Arts of Stavropol contains forty works by the artist. Many works have decorated private collections of art lovers from different countries. The subjects of the paintings written by the master are diverse, but most of them lead people to the bright world, helping the audience to touch harmony and beauty. Often on his canvases Kotov compares people with flowers that are fragile, but persistent in life.

Anatoly Kotov also touched on biblical themes in his work, awakening the desire in people to do good deeds. Good words were said by protodeacon Mikhail Poddubny about this part of creativity. This year, an exhibition dedicated to the seventieth anniversary of the artist will be open until May 1st.
