Kuban artist Anatoly Vasiliev invites to an anniversary exhibition

Today, on November 1, in Krasnodar, a personal exhibition of the Honored Artist of the Kuban, artist Anatoly Vasiliev, began work. The Krasnodar Exhibition Hall of Fine Arts provided a place to host the exhibition. The opening of the exhibition is timed to coincide immediately with the two anniversary dates of the artist’s life - Anatoly Vasiliev is 75 years old, and he has been engaged in his creative work for half a century.

Although the birthplace of Anatoly Vasiliev was the small town of Istra in the suburbs, his entire creative life takes place in the Kuban Territory. After graduating from Moscow State Pedagogical Institute. Lenin, where he received the specialty of a graphic artist, was assigned to work in Krasnodar. Now Anatoly Vasiliev is a member of the Union of Russian Artists, holds the position of professor at Kuban University and has the title of candidate of pedagogical sciences.

Working in a manner of realism, the artist in his work is a master of the traditional lyrical landscape. The title of the exhibition indicates its content - indeed, the paintings of Vasiliev invite visitors to enjoy the scenery, where not only the Kuban is written, or the middle strip of Russia. The audience sees landscapes of the Russian North with small wooden churches built in time immemorial, and next to them the Black Sea coast, the nature of the North Caucasus.

Landscapes painted by Vasiliev, amazingly accurately depict the natural world of the area, but this is not a copy of nature, but a combination of the author’s impression with the state of nature. Each of his work becomes a whole world, calm and self-sufficient, in which each person is comfortable to be. Visitors to the exhibition will be able to see the lyrical landscapes of Anatoly Vasiliev until November 11th.
