The Ivanovo Art Museum celebrated the anniversary of I. Nefyodov with an exhibition

The Ivanovo Art Museum celebrated the 125th anniversary of I.N. Nefyodov, one of the founders of the Ivanovo school of painting. On the sixth of December, an exhibition opened in the museum, which included not only famous paintings by the artist, which have long and firmly occupied a place in the museum’s halls, but also little-known works. Among them are paintings and sketches written by I. N. Nefedov in 1910.

Graphic works of the artist included in the exhibition will be of particular interest to connoisseurs of painting, because the graphics in the work of Nefyodov did not represent a separate genre of creativity, but existed as an auxiliary tool for easel painting. These were sketches, sketches, sketches made using different techniques, but the main value of the work is that in them you can see all the stages that the artist went through in his work.

The older generation of connoisseurs of pictorial art is familiar with the work of Ivan Nikandrovich, but for younger visitors to the exhibition, the artist’s paintings presented in her exhibition will be a real discovery. The manner of painting by I. Nefyodov is defined as a combination of conventionality and naturalism. Treating the word “quality” with great respect, the artist did not allow himself to be negligent even in sketches and sketches.
