Landscapes and still lifes of Svetlana Matyazh at an exhibition in the Barnaul Museum

BARNAUL. An exhibition of the artist from Barnaul, Svetlana Matyazh, opened at the Altai State Museum, specializing in the history of art, culture and literature (GMILIKA). From the 6th to the 28th of September in the exposition of the artist’s personal exhibition “Here the soul lives of nature”, approximately forty works made in the genres of painting and graphics will be presented to museum visitors.

The bulk of the works that made up the exposition are landscapes and still lifes. Since the artist devotes a lot of time to working in the open air, communication with the Altai nature constantly gives rise to new landscape compositions that you can tirelessly admire at the exhibition. No less attractive are still lifes made by Svetlana Vladimirovna - bright, juicy colors, they clearly demonstrate the mastery of the author.

The landscapes painted by Svetlana Matyazh are filled with emotions, she miraculously embodies the feelings experienced during the creation of her works. It is not too important whether this is a chamber work, or a large-scale canvas - in each of the artist’s paintings, the love of nature in the native Altai Territory is clearly visible. However, these feelings are especially noticeable in the delicate landscapes painted in watercolor, bringing peace and tranquility to the soul.

Svetlana Matyazh received her professional education at the Altai Academy of Arts, where she currently works as a teacher. Although the artist graduated from the Academy in 2010, she took part in exhibitions of various scales since 2006, and in 2009 the first personal exhibition of the young artist was held in Barnaul.

In the same year, 2009, Svetlana became a laureate of the contest “Young talents of Russia”. In 2013, the artist’s works took part in the exhibition “Siberia - XI”, held in Omsk.
