"Big Top" - a series of paintings by Igor Klyushkin in the Sochi Art Museum

SOCHI. Until the 1st of December, the city art museum has an exhibition of paintings by Igor Klyushkin, a St. Petersburg artist. The exhibition’s exposition, dedicated to the sixtieth birthday of Igor Klyushkin, received the name “Shapito” from the author.

For the artist, Sochi is not an ordinary resort city, his childhood and youth passed here, in the Sochi Polytechnic Klyushkin received the basics of the profession of an architect. Then followed her studies in Leningrad, at the school to them. Serova. Its end in 1977, at the same time marked the beginning of the career of Igor Klyushkin.

From this year, the artist began to show his work, participating in Russian and foreign exhibitions. How many personal exhibitions Igor Klyushkin has held over the years of creativity is hardly counted even by the artist himself. Since 1985 - a member of the Union of Artists of the Russian Federation.

The artist spent almost two years on the creation of the "Big Top" series presented at the exhibition. Last year, she was shown a resident of Murmansk. Now it is available to Sochi residents. In the first day alone, the opening exhibition was visited by about a hundred people. The first visitors were employees of the museum, including its director. Petra Khrisanova, journalists and friends of Igor Klyushkin.

Attending the opening of his jubilee exhibition was the author of the paintings, which aroused laughter and sadness in the audience. Asked by journalists about the reason for choosing such an unusual subject for his works, Igor Klyushkin rephrased Shakespeare, calling the whole world a circus in which there are many oddities and paradoxes.

Just as “Big Top” is a temporary room where the life of circus actors takes place, so the artist’s paintings depict the life of mankind, where love and hate, laughter and sadness, brilliance and poverty coexist. This is what the artist tries to express on his canvases.
