"Sports-Art-Sochi" - dedication to the 2014 Winter Games

SOCHI. Until March 15 of next year, the All-Russian Exhibition “Sport-Art-Sochi” will be available for visitors, which opened in the exhibition halls of the Sochi Art Museum. This exhibition project, the exhibition of which presents works of art made in various genres, styles and directions. It was organized in honor of the Olympic Games, because the famous resort city was chosen as their capital.

The exhibition is attended by more than two hundred works of art created by masters of painting, sculpture, graphics and other areas of art living in different parts of the country. The main criterion by which works were selected for participation in the exhibition was their affiliation with sports subjects.

If you mark on the map all the places where the authors of works presented in the halls of the art museum live, it will be seen that the masters, whose work belongs to sports subjects, are available in all regions - from Kaliningrad to Magadan.

Thanks to the talent of these masters, each visitor to the exhibition will be able to join in the moments of sports victories captured on canvases, appreciate the physical beauty of athletes who have become characters in works of fine art.

Some of the works were created specifically for the exhibition. The Union of Artists of the Russian Federation carried out preparatory actions, with their help the attention of artists was attracted to sports topics, and the result of these events was the appearance of highly artistic works dedicated to sports.

The exhibition of contemporary art that opened in Sochi has become not only a collection of works on sports subjects, but also a greeting from people who have dedicated their lives to art and to participants in the Winter Games in Sochi - the most important sports festival.
