Young artists of the Pskov region presented their work at the exhibition "Our Time"

PSKOV. In the last May days, the exhibition "Our Time" began in the city, representing the work of young artists. The exhibition contains works by young masters of the Pskov region. The exposition includes more than seventy works belonging to different styles and directions. To host the exhibition, the Pskov branch of the Union of Artists allocated its own exhibition hall, one of the most prestigious exhibition areas of the city.

Until June 21st, it housed paintings and graphic works, photographs and installations, works of applied art and even computer graphics. The authorship of many works included in the exhibition belongs to students of the Pskov University, who study at the Department of Design and Arts.

The associate professor of this department, Vladimir Berdyshev, spoke about the rigid selection of works for this exhibition. There were many who wanted to show their work, but the exposition included the work of about thirty authors, whose works were recognized as the most talented. For young artists, such an exhibition is an opportunity to show themselves in a prestigious exhibition space, thereby declaring itself in great art.

Many years ago, the Union of Artists held youth exhibitions annually. Then followed a long pause. But now, the opened exhibition of young talents has become the third in a row in the hall of the Union of Artists. The objective of these exhibitions is not only to show the creativity of novice artists, but also to replenish the ranks of the Union of Artists of the Pskov Region with young, talented authors.

Vladimir Berdyshev noted that the opened exhibition on the selection of works and their quality is much better than previous exhibitions. It is very pleasant that the interrupted tradition has revived again.
