In Veliky Novgorod, opened a new exhibition of the project "Breath of Time"

VELIKIY NOVGOROD. The Art Museum of Novgorod Land began 2018 with the continuation of the exhibition project “Breath of Time”. As part of this project, museum visitors got acquainted with the work of leading artists in Veliky Novgorod.

On January 15, another exhibition of this project was presented, dedicated to the anniversary of the artist Vladimir Babikov. This time, the exposition of the exhibition consists of one painting by a Novgorod artist provided by the museum fund.

Vladimir Anatolyevich was born far from Veliky Novgorod, in the Semipalatinsk region. After graduating from the Leningrad Higher School named after Mukhina in 1969, where he received the specialty of an artist in decorative fabrics, the artist came to Veliky Novgorod. Here Vladimir Anatolyevich lives and works to this day. The artist began to participate in exhibitions since 1972. First they were city exhibitions, then regional ones. Subsequently, his work was presented at national and many international art exhibitions.

Four years later, after participating in the first exhibitions, he was admitted to the Union of Artists of Russia. At this time, Vladimir Anatolyevich created and carried out a large number of original interior design projects for various public spaces. Successfully works both in painting and in graphics, prefers to write genre paintings.

The artist successfully combines his creative activities with teaching. Today he works at the University of Novgorod, named after Yaroslav the Wise, in the department of artistic processing of materials. The work of Vladimir Anatolyevich was appreciated by a diploma of the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation and a diploma of the Russian Academy of Arts.

You can see the new exhibition of the “Breath of Time” project in the Museum of Novgorod Land until February 4.
