The winners of the historical and literary prize "Alexander Nevsky"

ST. PETERSBURG. The awarding ceremony of the laureates of the All-Russian Historical and Literary Prize "Alexander Nevsky" was held in the cultural capital of Russia. The ceremony, which is a kind of professional review, was established by the Union of Writers of Russia and Talion OJSC. Over the years, the organizers of the event have opened more than 150 laureates who devoted their works and efforts to revealing the spiritual life of Russia and searching for new pages of history. This year, 220 works of literature and 52 museum memorial projects were nominated for the prize. According to the jury, this year’s projects were executed in a high professional level.

The ceremony was presented biography of Pushkin Vasily Lvovich, written by the deputy director of the State Museum. The third place went to the book “Second Lieutenant Sevastopol: The Mystery of War and Peace” by Alexander Tkachev. The work tells of the Sevastopol segment of the life of the great writer Leo Tolstoy.
