“Eugene Onegin” sounded at the finish of the “Music in the Estates” marathon

LIPETSK. The musical marathon ended in the Stakhovichi estate.

June 21 sounded the last chords of the four-day marathon "Music in the estates", held in the Lipetsk region. In the Stakhovichi estate in the open air they gave "Eugene Onegin." The start of the project was no less impressive. On June 18, the St. Petersburg Horn Orchestra performed in front of the Lipetsk audience. The "voices" of dozens of horns having a range of 4 octaves resemble an organ. The unique sound of each instrument is achieved due to the variety of their forms, parameters and professional secrets of the unique master Goloveshko. The Polyanichko Orchestra gave a new life to the genre that arose in our country about three centuries ago and seemed lost.

Concerts of Russian and foreign performers, daily held in ancient estates, parks, concert venues in the open air, attracted a large number of spectators. A successful musical project, contributing to a revival of interest in manor architecture, is planned to continue in the future.

The Stakhovichi estate at its peak was a place of attraction for representatives of the local nobility and figures of national culture. Her guests were famous writers, artists, artists: Prishvin, Tolstoy, Stanislavsky, Ge. In memory of the visit of Ilya Efimovich Repin there were portraits of Sofya Alexandrovna Stakhovich and her husband, landscape View from the balcony ”, sketches, studies. The estate was included in the register of protected objects of cultural heritage, therefore, it avoided the fate of many other destroyed and plundered noble nests. Thanks to the efforts of the descendant of the famous family, Mikhail Stakhovich and the help of the state, the old estate is gradually acquiring a pristine historical appearance.

It was in the natural scenery of the restored "Vitberg House" that the final day of the musical marathon passed. The unusual production of “Eugene Onegin” caused a storm of positive emotions among the public and among soloists from different countries that took part in it.
