The restless Truffaldino in the Sverdlovsk Drama Theater moved today

YEKATERINBURG. The last rehearsals have just finished in the academic drama theater, and on February 15, viewers will see the first premiere of yes, the musical comedy TRUFFALDINO, directed by Kirill Strezhnev.

The director is the main director of the Sverdlovsk Musical Comedy, who decided to surprise the theater audience with a new reading of Goldoni’s well-known and beloved play. Kirill Strezhnev made the heroes of the play our contemporaries, giving them the opportunity to immerse themselves in the atmosphere of the Venetian carnival.

The performance has colorful costumes, a lot of music and dancing. The representative of the Musical Comedy Theater also became the choreographer of the performance, but dramatic actors sing and dance. A lot of difficulties were overcome, but the choreographer was pleased with the result, confirming the words of the actors that the most important thing was the presence of desire, and it was a tremendous one among the participants in the performance.

This production became a real experiment for the theater, because not so often actors in a drama theater have to play a musical performance. The protagonist does not have the usual caftan and pantalon; he was dressed in ordinary jeans, because the action of the play takes place today. Since it is still Venice in carnival days, the makeup and costumes are constantly changing in the performance, and the well-known classical music received a new arrangement and is sometimes replaced by rap.

As the stage designer of the play, Kirill Piskunov, invited to stage from St. Petersburg, said that this performance gave its creators and troupe actors a fun trick on the stage. How the theater audience will perceive the new version of the adventures of the servant of the two gentlemen will be clear at the premiere, and those from the audience who were able to get to the last rehearsal left the theater with smiles.
