The book festival in St. Petersburg continues until late in the evening

ST. PETERSBURG. At 11 o’clock in the morning on the island of "New Holland" began the work of the book festival "Open Library". About three dozen book publishers of the two capitals will present the newly released book novelties.

The program of the holiday will include several interesting projects, the main of which will be the presentation of the “Open Library” and the project “reading technique”. In addition, round tables will be held where meetings will be held with publishers, the battle of poets and master classes. During the festival, the director Alexander Sokurov will meet with the audience.

For readers interested in serious literature, informative meetings are scheduled with several famous writers. For those who prefer entertaining literature, a stand with a huge number of comics is designed.

The organizers prepared amazing surprises for the little readers who wished to take part in festival events. Under the guidance of young St. Petersburg artists, the kids will be able to take part in the competition for the best image of the characters or plots of their favorite books. Winners received prizes from publishers.

Unsure of their artistic abilities, they suggest taking part in coloring huge books. In addition, another interesting entertainment is arranged for children - those who wish can start flying fish into the sky, which can be used to control radio signals from the ground.

An attractive project for readers was prepared at the stand of the Internet newspaper “Paper”. There, instead of old illustrated books, you can get new editions. Until eight in the evening, a stand with classic children’s literature will work.

At the end of the festival, guests will meet with musicians from the Megapolis and Cheese People groups.
