The Theater of One presents a unique project - "From the Leaf"

VORONEZH. Famous for its interesting work, the Theater of One, on Thursday, August 15th, presents a unique project, called “From the List”. The author of the project idea is Boris Alekseev, founder of the Theater of One. In Voronezh, this remarkable person is called the "man-theater."

The essence of the project is that it is possible for everyone who wants to, after leaving an application on the page of the Vkontakte project to try their hand at acting. At the first stage of the creation of the play, the actors read the play in roles. However, if the artists conduct this process in their team, then in this project the reading of the play will take place in public.

Although the project participants do not have special requirements, except for the ability to read a play from a sheet, the task is difficult for them - the text will be completely unfamiliar. Each week, a new play by a contemporary author, little known to anyone, will appear before the participants.

According to Boris Alekseev, a sufficient number of plays have already been selected for reading. Most of the selected plays correspond not only to his personal taste, but also to the cultural policy of the Theater of One. Since the readings will take place every Thursday, the repertoire material will be enough until winter.

The list of works by such famous contemporary playwrights as Anna Yablonskaya, Nikolai Kolyada, Konstantin Rudenko. The “From the Leaf” project will open with a reading-performance of the play “Bank of Honey” written by Taya Sapurina. Thus, people who want to participate in the project only need to submit an application on the site. Preliminary casting is available, however, there are no special difficulties for the participants in it. It is clear that getting into the project is easier for those who already have experience of speaking in public, but the idea of the project is the participation of people from the street.
