In the theater "Comedians" opened the 24th season with a "Memorial Prayer"

ST. PETERSBURG. On September 17, at the Comedy Theater, he invited spectators to the opening of the theater season for the 24th time. Fans of the “Comedians” already at the entrance to the foyer of the theater were waiting for surprises - the walls were decorated with paintings made under the direction of Polina Levshina, who is the main artist of the theater.

The theater’s photo artist, Svetlana Pyankova, presented an original design decision for a theater photo gallery. Finishing the decoration of the lobby just before the arrival of the audience. Another surprise for theater-goers awaits a bit later - the administration of the theater, in collaboration with the literary part, is preparing to release the electronic magazine "Comedians, which will host exclusive materials on the work of the collective. The presentation of the project is scheduled for October 17-18.

The first performance seen by the audience was one of the main premieres that took place this year - “Memorial Prayer”. The drama, pierced by sad humor, has already managed to fall in love with the audience. The performance staged by director Gleb Volodin tells of the destruction of the world, where for many years people lived according to centuries-old traditions, which were suddenly broken.

The tradition of the Comedians Theater is not changing. They successfully retain in their repertoire the intonations characteristic of the Russian psychological theater. This is helped by the actors masterfully playing on the stage, allowing the director to accurately realize his artistic intent, as well as the atmosphere of a small theater hall.

The first premiere of the new season will be the performance “Compromise” staged by Gleb Volodin based on the work of Sergei Dovlatov. An important performance for the theater is being prepared for the stage, so far having only a working title - "Countrymen". This will be the embodiment on the theater stage of the stories of Vasily Shukshin.
