In St. Petersburg, the first festival of children’s theaters "Children, for children, for children"

ST. PETERSBURG. “Children, for children, for children” - under this name, at the Comedians Theater, they presented a new theater festival, in which children’s theaters became participants. The time of its holding was not chosen by chance - it opened on October 31, on the day the schoolchildren began their holidays, and will end on November 10, along with the last day of rest from school.

The initiator and organizer of this theatrical festival, designed for children of any age, was the St. Petersburg Opera Theater. The initiative of the theater was actively supported by the St. Petersburg Committee for Culture. Participants in the organization of the festival were also the theaters “Comedians” and “Through the Looking Glass”, which provided their stage space for showing performances.

The festival program, designed for young spectators, is composed of performances of various genres. The theaters participating in the festival present dramatic and puppet plays, musical performances. The playbill has performances labeled (0+). Parents can bring the smallest viewers to them. The theme of such performances is “Living Pictures”.

Actors presenting such performances will show in theatrical form illustrations of children’s books that are familiar to the kids. In front of them the characters of "Flies-Tsokotuhi", "Kolobok" and other books no less loved by children will come to life. Kids will not only see the performances on stage, but will themselves participate in them. Artists will begin to communicate with the kids before the start of the performance.

The performances indicated on the poster (6+) are intended for older children. These will be already plot performances, forcing children to closely monitor the events taking place on the stage. Fascinating plot twists evoke a desire among young viewers to help the characters in the play who find themselves in difficult situations.
