The week of Orthodox cinema will begin in Kazan on January 14

KAZAN. The press service of the Kazan diocese said that from January 14 to 20, a week of Orthodox cinema will be held in Kazan. For 7 days, documentary, feature, animated, animated and short films on the subject of spiritual values, Orthodox culture and traditions of the Orthodox faith will be broadcast daily at the Myth Cinema in the capital.

The film screenings will also include round tables and discussion clubs, creative workshops and theme nights with the participation of famous Kazan screenwriters and filmmakers. Also throughout the week of Orthodox cinema, a charity fair will work in the lobby of the Myth cinema.

“Christmas is a special time, a time of good and light, a time of expectations and hopes, and we would very much like for everyone on these holy days to have the opportunity to fulfill their little miracle, the opportunity to touch the beautiful. Guests of the week of Orthodox cinema will see the highest quality products of domestic cinema. Films that not only broaden their horizons, but also inspire people to do good deeds, ”said Olga Kopylova, a member of the organizing committee.

The Christmas week of Orthodox cinema was organized by employees of the diocesan administration and students of the school of the Orthodox leader operating in the Kazan diocese since October 2014. Young organizers noted that this cultural and educational event today is necessary not only for youth and adolescents, but will benefit as a leisure for the whole family. They also said that one of the days of the Orthodox week will be dedicated to showing thematic cartoons in order to attract children from different social institutions to mass screenings.
