YAROSLAVL. On January 19, a joint project of two theaters, occupying an important place in the theatrical history of Russia, began on the stage of the Volkovsky Theater. Within six months of the Moscow Art Theater. Chekhov will show his best performances to Yaroslavl viewers. The first production in the project program was the play “Duel” staged by Anton Yakovlev based on the famous work of Chekhov.

A unique acting ensemble appeared before the audience, who were lucky enough to get to a performance that was difficult for even the inhabitants of the capital to attend, and the best artists of the famous theater became its participants. Their names are well known to the audience - Natalia Rogozhkina and Dmitry Nazarov, Eugene Miller and Anatoly Bely. Theaters, who attended the performances of the Moscow Art Theater. There was still a few hours before the performance, and in the theater foyer there was a meeting of the participants of the performance with the public and representatives of the press. Before the meeting, the actors managed to find some time to explore the city. The audience gathered in the foyer of the theater was able to hear from them words of admiration for the beauty of Yaroslavl.

Moscow Art Theater This is not the first time Chekhov has been playing on the stage of the Volkovsky Theater. In Yaroslavl, the Moscow Art Theater brought “Double Bass”, “Kreutzer Sonata”, as well as “The Amazing Journey of Edward Rabbit”. The next performance presented in the program of the joint project will be the Gogol’s “Marriage” directed by Igor Zolotovitsky. Yaroslavl viewers will see it on February 24th. It is possible that the project will continue further.
