Before the opening of the new theater building, the Teatra.doc team arrived on tour in St. Petersburg

MOSCOW. "Theatre. doc ”, which remained in December without premises, moves to a new address in February. Now the house of an unusual theater will be an old mansion located on Razgulyay. The building was abandoned, however, with the help of numerous volunteers, its restoration is nearing completion. Reception of the first spectators is scheduled for February 14th.

In the next performances of the theater, dramatic moments of Russian life will be again touched. This means that the work of the “Theater. doc "will not leave indifferent neither the audience nor theatrical critics. The artists of the theater will show “Bolotnaya Delo” staged by director Elena Gremina, director Seva Lisovsky is ready to present the performance “Feast” based on the work of Platonov.

The directors working with the theater staff turn only to relevant contemporary topics, so each replenishment of the repertoire becomes an event. The festival “Lyubimovka”, which has already become traditional, representing the works of young playwrights, will also be held in the new building.

In the absence of their own scene “Theater. doc ”showed its performances in various metropolitan venues. Assistance in this was provided by many well-known collectives. And now the theater staff went to St. Petersburg. These tours became possible thanks to the project “Another Capital”, the initiators of which were the cultural center “Skorokhod” (a tour is taking place on its stage) and the metropolitan Center named after Meyerhold.

"Theatre. doc ”brought three performances of various subjects. The first of them, the performance "Casting", staged by actor and director Igor Stam, the audience already saw on February 9th. Next will be the performances "Alaska" and "Akyn Opera 2". They will be presented on February 12 and 13. In the future, Petersburg theatergoers are waiting for new meetings with the “Theater. doc. "
