The triumph of the 26th "Kinotavr" was the picture "About Love"

SOCHI. The film of the Russian director Anna Melikyan won the Grand Prix of the 26th Kinotavr Film Festival. The award was presented to the author by the chairman of the jury, Alexei Uchitel, chairman of the board of trustees of the show Fedor Bondarchuk and president of the festival, Alexander Rodnyansky. For the right to own the main award of the show, the Angels of the Revolution Alexey Fedorchenko, the "Rag Union" of Mikhail Mestetsky and the "Country of OZ" Vasily Sigarev also fought.

The film “About Love” is a collection of small stories intertwined with the theme of love. Such famous actors as Renata Litvinova, Vladimir Mashkov, Evgeny Tsyganov, Julia Snigir, Marina Shalaeva, Ravshana Kurkova and others played in the film. Anna Melikyan’s tape also received a film distributor prize. “For me, this is a very important prize, because for the first time in my life I made this movie absolutely meaningfully for the audience, for wide distribution,” the director said.

The award "for the best director" was received by Alexei Fedorchenko for the film "Angels of the Revolution." The prize "for the best acting game" was given to the main characters of the film "Rag Union" Mikhail Mestetsky and Polina Grishina. The best Kinotavr cameraman was Andrei Naydenov for his work on Victor Dement’s Nakhodka movie.

Tariverdiev awards for the best musical accompaniment were awarded to the picture of Elena Khazanova "Petrushka Syndrome". The best debut of the 26th Kinotavr was the film The Seagull directed by Ella Manzheeva. This year, the prize of the Guild of Film Critics and Film Critics was divided among themselves by two paintings - “Country of OZ” by Vasily Sigarev and “Angels of the Revolution” by Alexei Fedorchenko. The guild diploma also marked the debut work of Natalia Kudryashova "Hero Pioneers". The jury’s special diploma went to Andrei Zaitsev’s picture “14+”, the same film won the audience vote.

The 26th Kinotavr Open Russian Film Festival was held from June 7 to 14 in the resort city of Sochi. The main competition of the show was attended by 14 full-length films. Recall that the review was established by Oleg Yankovsky and Mark Rudinshtein in 1989. Until 2011, only films of Russian production could take part in the main competition of the festival. But in 2011, the founders decided to remove the geographical boundaries, and now any film in Russian can participate in the show.
