The fate of the sketches of the performances shown in the first stage of the new project of the Taganka Theater "Rehearsals" will be decided by spectators and critics

MOSCOW. The Taganka Theater presented the first results of the new Rehearsal project. The idea of the creative project belongs to Irina Apeksimova, director of the theater team. There has not yet been a project similar to Rehearsals in the theater world.

In fact, “Rehearsals” is a director’s laboratory that runs every month. For several evenings, spectators come to the theater to see the birth of a new performance. Before the first show to the audience, the future performance has to go through several stages - the director participating in the project develops the concept of the play he has chosen, followed by a week of rehearsals with the Taganka actors.

During this time, a sketch of the performance is presented to the audience and critics. It depends on their assessment whether this sketch will turn into a full-fledged premiere of the play. If the work of the actors and the director is approved, then in the future it will replenish the repertoire of the Small Stage. It is worth noting that the restoration of the Small Stage has already been completed. The press service of the Ministry of Culture told about this event.

However, the opening of the new season will take place on the stage of the Cinema Actor Theater (33 Povarskaya St.), where on October 5, the artists will show the play “The Master and Margarita”, dedicated to the memory of Yuri Lyubimov. Sketches of the "Rehearsal" project are held at the experimental site (22 Povarskaya St.).

The first sketch of the new project, presented to the audience on October 1, was the work of director Semyon Serzin. He turned to the play by Y. Pulinovich, "Land of Elsa." The next evening, viewers saw the birth of the play "Dragon", presented by director Gleb Cherepanov. In the next two days, viewers will see sketches of the performances "Wii" read by Alexander Barkar, and "Golden Dragon" from the director Valeria Surkova.
