In honor of the opening of the New Stage at the Theater. Vakhtangov passes "Premier Parade"

MOSCOW. Theater named after Vakhtangov, 13 years after the start of construction, first invited spectators to the New Stage. The hall of the new theater space is located in a building adjacent to the theater.

The long construction period was offset by the appearance of the Vakhtangans stage-transformer, equipped with the latest technology, and an auditorium where 200 spectators can comfortably accommodate. Armchairs can be freely moved around the hall, if it will be necessary to implement the tasks of the director.

Spectators who managed to get to the opening of the New Stage, which took place on October 3rd, saw the first performance from the Premiere Parade. IT will be held during the ten days of October. The idea to present the audience in honor of the opening of the New Stage with several premieres in a row belongs to Rimas Tuminas, artistic director of the Vakhtangov Theater.

He also staged the play "Minetti", which became the first of a series of premieres of the season that opened. In the play, written by the Austrian playwright Thomas Bernhard, the main character is a real person - Bernhard Minetti. This famous German actor is actually our contemporary - he passed away in 1998. In the role of Minetti, People’s Artist of the Russian Federation Vladimir Simonov. Tuminas noted the great acting skills of Simonov, calling him a new breakthrough in the artist’s work.

The premiere parade will continue on October 7, when the new stage will feature the new work of director-choreographer Angelica Kholina - “Men and Women”. Choline herself called this fantasy performance a "tragic comedy."

“Take an umbrella, Madame Gauthier!” - in this performance on October 13 Julia Borisova, an outstanding theater master, who celebrated her ninetieth birthday this year, will enter the New Stage.

In November, the Premier Parade will continue.
