MOSCOW. RAMT artists on November 23 invited the audience to the premiere of the new work of the director Marina Brusnikina, the play “Cat of Shame”. The play included three plays written by young playwrights - Taya Sapurina, Irina Vaskovskaya and Julia Tupikina. Each of the plays embodied by Marina Brusnikina on the RAMT stage is shown for the first time to Moscow audiences, but they have already been awarded with prestigious contests.

The play “Cat of Shame”, which gave the name to the whole performance, was written by Taya Sapurina. In 2013, at the Lyubimovka festival, the play became a participant in the main program.

The author of the play "Mart", Irina Vaskovskaya, participating in the "Contest" of the "Golden Mask", received two awards for her work at once - the Grand Prix and the audience’s sympathy prize.

The play "Ba", written by Julia Tupikina, won the international competition "Eurasia 2013".

Marina Brusnikina told reporters that she constantly follows the news of modern drama. Thanks to the efforts of the director, the repertoire of many metropolitan theaters was replenished with performances based on plays by contemporary authors. Recently, a considerable number of festivals have been held, where young playwrights present their work. Among them are often extremely talented authors.

Selecting material for the production at RAMT, she drew attention to three young playwrights, whose plays became a new play. The authors are completely different, like the plays they created. But the theme that is heard in each work unites them.

The problems raised by the authors arise in almost every family. The creators and participants of the new RAMT performance offer spectators to ponder the reasons causing their appearance, to put themselves in the place of the heroes of the play.
