Premiere charity screenings of the performance "Generation of Mowgli" were held in Novosibirsk

NOVOSIBIRSK. On the stage of the Palace of Culture, premieres of the charity performance “Generation of Mowgli” were held. The musical performance was born thanks to the charity project “Generation M.”, organized by the Konstantin Khabensky Foundation and the MTS company.

This musical for two years successfully passed in four Russian cities. Each of the performances made it possible to pay for the treatment of children in need of help. Now Novosibirsk has joined the charity project. The performance was shown three times - on December 9, 10, 11.

Hall DKZH spectators filled to capacity. Even the extra seats organized by the administration were not enough for everyone to see a vivid show created by the pupils of the studio of Konstantin Khabensky with the participation of five professional artists of Novosibirsk. Khabensky himself played the role of Akella in the musical.

This character in the plot of Kipling’s work, transferred to the modern city, became the leader of a flock of free artists. The remaining adult heroes are played by leading actors of the Novosibirsk theaters. Sherkhan was Nikita Buryachek, the artist of the “First Theater”, Bagira - Ekaterina Zhirova (“Red Torch”), in the role of Kaa - Alexander Sorokin (theater “On the Left Bank”). Dmitry Savin, representative of the Musical Comedy Theater, played the role of Balu.

The selection of children for the performance lasted several months. As a result, one hundred people were selected, of which two groups of artists were formed. The performer of the role of Mowgli Nikita Kostrov after the first performance said that there were 13 applicants for the main role. The main role the young artist performs for the first time.

The funds received from the Mowgli Generation screening in Novosibirsk will be used to treat oncological diseases of four children living in different Russian cities.
