CHELYABINSK. The results of the film festival “Full Arthouse” have been summed up.

Arthouse tapes are increasingly becoming an outlet for those who are forced to dispense with the meager diet offered by the domestic film industry. And the desire to watch high-quality and truthful movies arises regularly.

At the festival “Full Arthouse”, the works of those who not only raise sensitive topics, but do so, avoiding pathetic intonation, cliches and peremptory diagnoses became leaders. The Grand Prix went to the picture “No comment” by Artem Temnikov. A few months ago, this anti-war picture received a similar award at the Honfleur festival. By and large, this conversation is not about war, although the tape is dedicated to it. It is about peace and love, the absence of which can lead to disastrous decisions. On the truth and decency, the priority of which cannot be challenged.

I did not receive the award, but the film "The Seagulls" by Ella Manzheeva was welcomed by the synephiles. His appearance is a significant fact. The first Kalmyk film about the life of a republic that survived the war and deportation, about beautiful and proud people living in it, shot in Kalmyk language. The tape managed to get international recognition. Participation in the Berlin Film Festival, invitations to other international film forums. In late autumn, he was on the list of "Golden Globe" nominees.

The picture of Alexey Fedorchenko “Angels of Revolution” about the Kazym uprising got the prize of the youth jury. At the center of the story are real events. The tragic story of the rebellion and victims of the cultural revolution, met with hostility by the indigenous northern peoples in the early 30s. About ill-conceived actions and the failure of a strategy in the field of national policy, an attempt to lead to a common denominator without taking into account local specifics that unification does not lend itself.

Press prize - at the exquisite "Aventura" Irina Evteeva. An impressive mix of animation and dramatic play. An imaginary country invented by Green and a hungry Petersburg, a Taoist parable and a painted ballet harmoniously coexist in it. A beautiful fantasy film, the creation of which required exceptional skill and considerable courage.
