"Movie truth ?!" on OTR will show real masterpieces

On the channel Public Television of Russia, a new project of Leonid Mlechin “Cinema Truth?!” is launched.

It is dedicated to the centenary of the October Revolution, the eightieth anniversary of the peak of Stalinist repressions, and, in part, to the sixtieth anniversary of the Khrushchev thaw. 52 outlets throughout the year. 52 films dedicated to these topics.

Films of different times of creation - from the 1930s to the end of the 1990s. Many of them, for obvious reasons, no longer shows a single channel, some are shown extremely rarely. Among them there are real masterpieces (Chapaev), and simply hard-made films that are valuable as bright signs of the time in which they were created.

The film is preceded by a commentary by the popular TV presenter Leonid Mlechin, who in his favorite genre of historical investigation talks about the film, its creators, the time in which the film was made, and the time that it is narrated. With his inherent brightness of presentation and deep knowledge of the subject, Mlechin looks at the events of the last century from the perspective of today, thus explaining why it is interesting and useful to watch Films of the Truth today

1. A ticket to life (1931)

Alexei Mikhalev, a Red Army soldier, is seriously injured, being forced to be treated at the hospital. There he enters under the patronage of Chicherin and travels as part of the Soviet delegation to the Genoese international conference on economic and financial issues. During the conference, it is possible to break through the united front of states that tried to achieve diplomatic isolation of Soviet Russia and sign a trade agreement with Germany.
