In the summer of 2015, in the framework of Culture Exchange Days in Argentina, there will be a tour of leading Russian creative groups and performers

From June 12 to July 5, 2015, residents of Argentina will have the opportunity to get acquainted with the culture of modern Russia. Tours in the capital and two administrative centers of Argentina will be the response of Russian cultural figures to the extensive program for the presentation of contemporary Argentine art in Russia.

On June 12, in Buenos Aires, the Moscow theater Et Cetera will show the Shurpera play “The Storm” on the stage of the Argentinean National Theater “San Martin”. The main role is People’s Artist of Russia Alexander Kalyagin. The performance was staged by the outstanding director Robert Sturua in collaboration with the artist Georgy Alexi-Meskhishvili and composer Gia Kancheli. The name of Robert Sturua is widely known in Argentina. Here he staged several performances, for which he was awarded many prestigious awards of the country. In total, 11 performances will be played in Buenos Aires.

On June 26, a gala concert of the leading soloists of the Bolshoi and Mariinsky Theaters will be held at the Independence Theater of Mendoza . Outstanding Russian vocalists Vasily Ladyuk (baritone), Dmitry Voropaev (tenor), Olesya Petrova (mezzo-soprano) and Oksana Shilova (soprano) will perform masterpieces of the world opera repertoire, including the popular arias by J. Puccini, J. Verdi, J. Bizet. Argentinean listeners will be able to appreciate the richness and originality of the Russian school of opera singing on the basis of Russian classics. The program will include fragments from Eugene Onegin and The Queen of Spades P. Tchaikovsky, Snegurochka N. Rimsky-Korsakov. Lyrical Neapolitan songs and sparkling arias from operettas will fully reveal not only the vocal data, but also the acting talent of the performers. On June 30, a meeting of classical vocal fans with the stars of Russian opera will take place in the Great Philharmonic Hall of the Kirchner Cultural Center in Buenos Aires . Concerts will be held with the participation of the main conductor of the Novosibirsk Philharmonic Chamber Orchestra Alim Shakhmametiev and will be his first experience of cooperation with the best musical groups in Argentina - the National Symphony Orchestra and the Mendoza Philharmonic Orchestra .

On July 3 and 5, concerts of the instrumental ensemble Bis Quit will take place in Buenos Aires and Mar del Plata with the participation of soloists and vocalists Alexander Trofimov and Olga Pudova . In the concert program of the folklore group from St. Petersburg, laced folklore patterns intertwine with a split Russian song, a perky dance and old romance, masterpieces of Soviet song classics and world hits.
