A painting "Leningradskoye Shosse" from the collection of the Irkutsk Art Museum is expected in Rome and Moscow

Irkutsk Regional Art Museum received an offer to send a painting to B.F. Rybchenkova "Leningradskoye Shosse" at the exhibition "Russia: by plane, train, car." This is a large-scale exhibition project, which is being developed by the State Museum and Exhibition Center "ROSIZO" together with the Institute of Russian Realistic Art (IRRI) under the patronage of the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation.

It is planned that the exhibition dedicated to the theme of transport in art will be shown in Italy in Rome in October-December 2015, and later from January to May 2016 in the IRRI halls in Moscow. The opening of the exhibition in Rome is planned simultaneously with the start of the Week of Russian Culture in Italy, and the exhibition itself is included in the program of cultural events held under the auspices of EXPO-2015. According to the organizers, the exhibition "Russia: by plane, train, car" will be a bright event in the cultural life of Italy and Russia.

In the picture you can see the “new” Moscow: trams and a trolleybus go along the route, people are in a hurry, there are new buildings made in the style of constructivism. Moreover, the very mood of the picture can be called lyrical. Harmony and picturesqueness - these are the properties that attract the viewer in the works of Boris Rybchenkov.

In the collection of the Irkutsk Art Museum, the canvas was received in 1938 from the State Tretyakov Gallery. Residents and visitors of the city could see the “Leningradskoye Shosse” in the main exhibition of the museum in the hall, where Soviet art of the 20-30s of the last century is presented.

Now there is a process of paperwork. And if all the necessary permissions are received by the organizers of the exhibition, the Boris Leningradskoye Shosse will go to Rome, then to Moscow, and in the second half of 2016 the canvas will return home to the Irkutsk Art Museum.
