Boris Vilkov feels good in different formats and techniques. In large semi-abstract compositions, the main thing for him is the dynamism and acuteness of the composition.

Boris’s works are dramatic and epic, they feel a desire to develop the ideas of Russian and Italian futurism of the 20s of the last century. His new project is completely devoted to the development of such seemingly ordinary material as scotch tape:

“They say about scotch tape that it is one of the brightest symbols of the turn of the century. Popular, affordable, versatile and is used in any everyday situations. Modern artists every year increasingly turn to Tape-art. I find many advantages in working with scotch tape. These things can be rolled up, crumpled and carried in dozens in a regular bag. Transparent film allows you to do multilayer work, change the saturation and color. ”

Boris Vilkov was born in Moscow on June 18, 1966. In 1991 he graduated from the art-graphic faculty of the Moscow State Pedagogical Institute, after the institute he studied painting and taught.
