Bella Akhmadulina:
"Art should not amuse people, but bring them suffering"

Bella Akhmadulina, the brightest poet of the second half of the twentieth century, was chosen as a symbol of the first international scientific conference “Communication of Times”, held on May 28. The organizers of the event, the participants of the Museyon - the center of aesthetic education of youth from the Pushkin Museum named after A.S. Pushkin, this choice was made not by chance. One of the reasons why the conference was engulfed in memories of the life and work of the poetess was her attitude to creativity. Recently, most works of art are created in order to please the public and entertain. The foundation that makes creativity in all its manifestations, the only way of moral and moral education of people, has been lost. Bella Akhmadulina vehemently opposed such a position and created poetry with the depth of her personality!

The conference attracted the interest of more than a hundred young writers, journalists, and students of higher educational institutions. The program, dedicated to the 75th birthday of the poetess, highlighted in detail the questions of her biography, the vivid artistic features of the poetic world created by Bella Akhmadulina for the fruitful years of her life, analyzed the stylistic features and the influence of great poets from previous eras on her. As a student, she refused to participate in the persecution of Pasternak and all her life remained faithful to her ideals - friendship, love, truth, beauty.
