"The Birth of Color" on the canvases of the artist from Moscow Anna Birstein in Krasnodar

KRASNODAR. In the museum to them. F.A. Kovalenko on June 21 presented to visitors a personal exhibition of the famous Moscow artist Anna Birshtein. The exposition is located in the old museum building. The name of the exhibition - “The Birth of Color”, fully corresponds to the world of the artist’s creative search.

The works of Anna Birshtein are filled with bright colors, the images are characterized by expression. The artist is constantly looking for new ways of expressing herself, but at the same time she never turned to genres of pictorial art that were not interesting to her for the sake of fashion for them.

Whatever is depicted on the artist’s canvases - landscape, still life or portrait, the presence of her personality, the special author’s atmosphere of her own world are everywhere felt. Anna says that the theme of her work is the life surrounding her, all that she feels and senses.

Anna Birshtein touched the world of painting as a child, which is not surprising. Her parents are well known in the art world - Nina Vatolina and Max Birshtein have many admirers of their talent. The specialty of the artist’s daughter, Masha Tsigal, is also close to the hereditary profession - she is a famous fashion designer.

Anna began her career in professional painting at an art school working at the Surikov Institute, where she continued her education. Since 1975, the artist’s work has constantly participated in art exhibitions, and in 1993 she became a member of the Union of Artists.

For her work, Anna Birshtein in 2003 was awarded a silver medal from the Russian Academy of Arts, and in 2008 she became her corresponding member. Her works adorn the collections of museums and private art collectors.
