Mountain landscapes painted from nature in the paintings of the artist Sergey Dudko
KRASNODAR. Art Museum. Kovalenko invites residents and guests of the Krasnodar Territory to visit the personal exhibition of Honored Artist of the Russian Federation Sergey Dudko. The exhibition was called the “Peaks Bouquet” for many reasons, each of which is worthy of attention.
The painter himself dedicated the exhibition to two anniversary dates at once: the 20th anniversary of the aspiration climbers club located in Krasnodar, and the 15th anniversary of the expedition to the Himalayas organized by Kuban climbers. Sergey Dudko, being the USSR master of sports in mountaineering, was one of the organizers and participant in this expedition, during which he climbed Makalu Peak.
However, this year the artist also marked important dates of his life - Sergey Viktorovich marks 65 years this year, and also marks 45 years of his creative activity. In his work, the artist constantly turns to mountain landscapes. Love for the mountains came to the young artist at first sight, or rather, from the first trip to the mountain peaks.
Sergey Dudko was not only a participant, but also the leader of many expeditions to the mountainous regions of various countries. The impressions received in the expeditions became the material for new paintings. The artist himself says that all the "portraits" of the mountain peaks are their exact images, but their own impression also plays an important role in the painted paintings.
The canvases written by Sergey Dudko are dominated by bright shades of flowers. Although there are practically no images of people in his paintings, mountain rivers and snow-capped peaks do not look lifeless. According to the artist, he presents mountains as living beings, which is why they come to life on his canvases.
The exhibition of the artist, traveler and climber Sergei Viktorovich Dudko can be visited until June 16th.
