NIZHNY NOVGOROD. On September 5, the Thing in the Gallery presented a personal exhibition of the artist Alexander Danilov to Nizhny Novgorod art connoisseurs. The exhibition exposition is composed of paintings and graphic works, as well as works made by the author in mixed media.

“Metamorphoses” - this name was not accidentally received by the exhibition. The paintings of Alexander Danilov are full of pictorial and graphic transformations. With his works, the artist shows the audience a world that exists independently of time and space. He uses the features of metamorphosis, trying to convey through the transformation of forms the unchanging and unified that exists in each of his characters and the phenomena described by him.

The genres of art that are owned by Alexander Danilov are diverse. He is not only a graphic artist and painter, but also a theater artist and book illustrator. Also works in the genre of mural painting. Danilov received his art education at the Nizhny Novgorod Theater School. After graduating in 1990, he began to participate in exhibitions, where his work was recognized by the audience.

Since 2000, Alexander Danilov has been living in the Italian city of Tuscany, working as a professional artist. He is the author of illustrations for several books, using the author’s original technique, performed several wall paintings in Italy and Russia. On his account only solo exhibitions, more than fifty have passed.

The works of Alexander Danilov adorn the collection of the State Museum of Nizhny Novgorod, are stored in the Museum of Modern Art of Vladivostok, in the galleries of Donetsk and Norilsk. His works are readily acquired by private collectors from different countries.

The exhibition is open until September 25th.
